I have read a few of her previous books. The Big Stone Gap Trilogy I recall enjoying, even though it has been many years since I read them.
Overall I liked this story. I was sucked in and wanted to continue reading despite the jumping around, I am not sure if the Nook makes it look that way or if that is how it really was. I would be in one place and then the next paragraph was somewhere else.
I have to admit I was disappointed in the ending, not the events, but the hurried feel I got from the last 70 pages. It was as if she really wanted to tie up the loose ends, but wasn't in the mood to write anymore. So it left me wishing she had taken the time to finish it.
